One of the number one micro blogging systems Twitter went down tonight. According to social media groups no one really knows why. So do not freak out. Twitter seems to know about the problem and I am sure they are working on a patch as you read this post. Browsing again today, I watched this video which shows the amount of time spent on average on social media websites like Twitter, Facebook and Myspace. They also showed a comparison of social media time spent for the U.S. to other countries. Come on Japan, the social media buzz is about the one thing that you are not ahead in. Props to Australia, you guys have more time on your hands. Check it out!

Is Social Media slowing down…
I don’t think so! Recent data released shows that more time is being spent on social sites like Twitter and Facebook now more than ever. It even says that the regular user spends more than five hours on social networking sites in December alone.
Facebook is showing a wopping over 200 million users which takes up over 60% of the social networking communities.
It seems without surprise that the United States is the home of the most social network connectors clocking in at a huge over 140 million people. You can see more about these numbers, here.
I read a post today stating that even your large and small resorts are pouring tons of money into social media this year in order to boost their image and reach out to different demographics. Here is one by Vail Resorts for you to view.
I mean did you ever think you could see what some 1000 of your friends are doing in one day or how many times you may see @Rene in a sentence. Welcome to the world of social media. Hold on to your hats because it aint over yet!
